My life has been filled with twists and turns, but I strongly believe in making opportunities out of obstacles. I've found a way to do that from home! I have a very strong faith, a wonderful family and we're a bit non-traditional.
Due to serious health issues my husband and I have a somewhat different outlook on life. We enjoy people, nature, children, and appreciate little things. We both lost family members way too early and decided we needed to savor life.
We have been very active in our community, church, and have owned and operated our own business. About 12 years ago our life changed dramatically. We sold our business because of my health. We thought the stress would ease and health would improve. We were wrong, the migraines did not improve, nothing improved. It took years to learn the chemicals in our environment were making me very ill. Headaches, candida yeast, fibromyalgia,and muscle pain became a part of my daily life. We had to learn to go green before it was cool and way before it was convenient. Now it's just a way of life for us, something we've lived with for years. I still struggle with the environmental illness daily, but it doesn't define who I am. It has thrown us a real curve. One of many we've encountered along life's journey. I've come to believe obstacles are opportunities in disguise. Although I have to be home more and can't be out in the working world on a day-to-day basis, I can be active and productive. And I can earn an income from home. I've looked and looked to find the right way to earn extra money part time from home. It's taken a lot of trial and error to find the right avenues. We also have diversified our organic acreage and are planting aronia berries. A very high anti-oxidant berry which will take some time to mature and produce a crop. But we are anxious for them. We're hoping for our first few berries next fall. Their ORAC value is extremely high and the health benefits are enormous.
